I purchased the workshop 2009 a little more than one hour ago. I followed all the prompts for downloading and installing yet it was not installed. I was given an option at my initial inquiry to chat with someone that eventually led me to a person who tried to get $55.00 to proceed with the issue. that is robbery. I paid for the app so if i t is not installed just email me the info as to what I must do or mail me the software.

The problem you are facing is strictly related to incompatibility between your home PC and your laptop. Make sure that the laptop meets the minimum requirements before installing the software. Also if the program is from 2009 and you have Windows 7/Vista installed on the laptop, then this could be the problem and I suggest running the application in the Compatibility mode. Installing the software shouldn't be a major problem. After you have installed it, right click on your main executable option of the software and choose Properties, then Compatibility tab. Select Windows XP from the drop-down menu. Most applications run in a proper way using this operating system. This little tweak will solve the problem you are facing.

You receive this error either because the software is not installed correctly or it is not compatible with your computer. In order to fix it, remove the program using its uninstaller or Add or Remove Programs feature and install it again. If it still doesn't work, check Software Informer database for an alternative solution.
